Van Cleef & Arpels Colombian emerald and diamond ring. Centrally set with one rectangular emerald-cut natural Colombian emerald with no colour enhancement and no clarity enhancement in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 3.22 carats, encircled with ten round brilliant cut diamonds in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 3.00 carats, flanked with twelve round brilliant cut diamonds with a combined weight of 0.40 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 3.40 carats to an impressive coronet cluster design with polished borders, a structured openwork gallery and intricately pierced open backholing, flowing through to diamond set trumpeting shoulders and leading to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 14 carat white gold, high carat gold and platinum, signed ‘Van Cleef & Arpels’, numbered ‘N.Y.43361’, American, circa 1910, accompanied by Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF) reports #76880 and #103047. The origin, colour and clarity of this emerald make it one of the finest in the world.
